How to Install Forex Trading Software in Simple Steps: Fxpesa Broker
The beauty of Forex trading is that a trader can access the chart on any device. Let’s find out how to install the MT4 trading App on a mobile device first, then on a PC.
Step 1: Open a Forex Trading Account
Follow the broker’s instructions to open a real trading account, and log in to the broker’s dashboard(we use FXpesa for illustration).
Locate a button with a link to the MT4’s download page when logged in.
Click on Platforms.
Step 2: Launch the MT4 Mobile App
Follow the link to download Metatrader 4 from either Google Playstore or App Store, depending on your device’s operating system. Wait for the download to complete, then launch the MT4 App.
Step 3: Get Account Details From the Broker’s Website
To log in to the App, you need three things: the broker’s server name associated with your account, your trading account number, and the account password.
Log in to your dashboard on the broker’s website and write down the above three details.
Step 4: Log in to Your Trading Account
Open the MetaTrader App and click the + sign on top of the screen, then click on Login to an existing account.
Enter the broker’s server name in the search box.
Tap on Live or Demo, depending on the trading account you opened.
Enter your trading account number and password, then click on log in.
Step 5: Confirm Account Balance and the Leverage
Once you are logged in successfully, you can see the Leverage you are using and your account balance which is synced with the balance on the broker’s dashboard.
If the details do not match, the login was unsuccessful. You need to repeat step 4.
If you are using a PC, here are the steps to download Metatrader 4 trading platform on your device:
Step 1: Follow the instructions in Step One Above
Once you are done with step one, jump to step two.
Step 2: Launch the MT4 App
Click on the Download button.
Once the Software is downloaded, tap on the executable file to launch the MT4 App.
Wait for the installation process to begin.
Read the License Agreement, then select next.
Ignore the message prompting you to Signup for trading services on the Metaquotes website.
When the installation process is complete, click finish
Step 3: Follow the instructions in Step Three Above
You need to follow the instructions in step three above to get the login details, then jump to step four below.
Step 4: Run the Program
The Software’s shortcut has been created automatically on your Desktop. Click it to run the program.
A window will prompt you to select an account you want to log in to.
Choose a Demo or Live, depending on which account you want to log in to.
Step 5: Log in to Your Trading Account
Because you have already opened a trading account, check the existing trade account box and enter the number in the login box as shown below.
Enter the account password.
Leave the save password box checked so you won’t have to enter the password every time you log in.
Now, click on the login button.
Step 6: Confirm Account Balance
If the login is successful, four charts will open. Click on Trade in the bottom left corner to view your account balance which is synced with the balance on your dashboard on the broker’s website.
